Affordable housing application intake

Complete applications, the first time.

Applyfi turns affordable-housing intake into a guided, rules-aware process. The application itself decides which documents are required. Every upload is tested as it arrives. Housing staff open a complete file instead of chasing one missing pay stub for six weeks.

01

Rules taken from the regulation

Document checks are written against 24 CFR Part 5, HOTMA, and the December 2025 UHAC — not a generic upload validator.

02

A checklist that narrows

Answers in the application generate the required document list. Applicants never guess which of forty possible uploads apply to their household.

03

An auditable record

Every request, response, replacement and deletion is retained. No part of a file has to be reconstructed from an inbox.

Two sides of the same file

One record, two surfaces — the applicant’s portal and the reviewer’s queue never fall out of step.

For applicants

Only the documents you actually need

Apply by invitation from the housing organization running the program. Save your progress, upload as you get things, and know immediately if a document won’t work.

What applying looks like
For housing agencies

Review a file, not a folder of email

Applications and supporting documents in one queue, cross-checked, with flags on anything that looks altered and a complete history of every request.

What staff get
What Applyfi does not do

We don’t decide who qualifies. That stays with you.

Applyfi makes no eligibility determinations. It collects information and documents, cross-checks them, and flags what needs a human look.

No screening criteria touching a protected class exist in the product, and none can be configured into it.

Each housing organization’s records are isolated. One agency’s data is never reachable from another’s account.

Text messaging

Applicants may choose to receive text messages about their own application — status updates, requests for a missing document, and reminders about items still outstanding. Consent is optional, never automatic, and never a condition of applying for housing.

We never send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not sell or share phone numbers. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop all further texts, or HELP for assistance.
